Drug intelligence / Profile preview
[N-[N-(4-methoxy-2,3,6-trimethylphenylsulfonyl)-l-aspartyl]-d-(4-amidino-phenylalanyl)]-piperidine is a synthetic small molecule dipeptide derivative investigated as an antagonist of the platelet glycoprotein IIb/IIIa (integrin αIIbβ3) receptor. This compound inhibits platelet aggregation by blocking fibrinogen binding to the GPIIb/IIIa receptor on platelets and has been studied for its potential use in preventing thromboembolic disorders such as thrombosis. It is not approved for clinical use and remains investigational[6][9]. The compound has been referenced in structural biology studies and chemical databases but does not have any known brand names or commercial formulations.
